I became a therapist because I’ve always been fascinated by people and genuinely curious about the stories that shape us. I believe every behavior, emotion, thought pattern, and coping strategy develops for a reason, and I enjoy helping clients understand the “why” behind their experiences with compassion rather than self-judgment. Some of the most meaningful moments in therapy happen when someone shifts from asking, “What’s wrong with me?” to “Why do I respond this way?” because understanding often creates space for healing and lasting change. I view therapy as a collaborative process where we explore your experiences together, make sense of patterns, and build on the strengths you already have.
My Therapeutic Approach
1. Theoretical Orientation
My work is grounded in a trauma-informed framework that recognizes how past experiences shape the way we think, feel, and relate to ourselves and others. I integrate evidence-based approaches based on each client’s unique needs, believing that no single modality is the right fit for everyone. Together, we explore the protective patterns and beliefs that developed over time, helping you understand your experiences with greater insight and self-compassion.
2. Therapy Style
I strive to create a warm, collaborative, and authentic therapeutic relationship where you feel understood, respected, and accepted without judgment. My style is grounded in curiosity, compassion, and genuine conversation, using thoughtful questions, structure, and gentle challenges to foster insight and meaningful growth.
3. Change Process
I believe change begins with understanding. As we explore the patterns, beliefs, and ways your mind and body have adapted to protect you, we create space for healing and new ways of responding. Through increased insight, emotional processing, and the development of regulation skills, we work together to support meaningful and sustainable change.
4. Techniques & Modalities
My work incorporates approaches such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness-based practices, and skills-focused strategies. I also integrate Polyvagal-informed concepts to support nervous system regulation and help clients develop greater awareness of their internal experiences. With advanced training in dissociation, I emphasize stabilization, grounding, and parts-informed work to support healing in a safe and collaborative way.
